Don't know if anyone can help with this:
I have been asked by a 'rele' in Australia for information on Women Prisoners, namely ELIZABETH WESTON,
transported to Tasmanie (probably then known as Van Diemans Land) in about 1841.
Evidently they travelled on the ship 'Rajah' and during the journey made a quilt, now known as
The Rajah Quilt which now holds a place in the textile collection in the National Gallery of Australia.
I believe ELIZABETH was tried at the Old Bailey in 1841.....Any info: on this would be gratefully
received.
