Death - Mr. Dodman, Thamesville area Resident, age about 21 yrs., Source - Bothwell Times - Death 24 Jul 1902, Funeral Thamesville , Story Bothwell Times 31 Jul 1902.

For the life of me I cannot find whom this person is, a little help Please?
The written story of this man's death is very descriptive & blood curdling.
To make a long story, short, while returning home from Chatham, he was
drinking & got Drunk. He got off the train in Bothwell instead of Thamesville.
He decided to walk back home along the tracks to Thamesville, thinking it
would take him about 3 hrs. time.

Mr. Dodman fell asleep, past out, with his head resting on the rail, & along came a
train. Mr. Dodman's head was decapitated!!!!!!!!!!

Yours Truly
Jeff

Eh Jimmy: Thank you very much for the reply & confirmation about Thomas Edward. Yes, after a night of " Drinking In Chatham ", & getting drunk, Thomas got on a train called the,
Grand Trunk Rail Road ( which no longer operates ), was heading back home to Thamesville. In Thamesville Thomas, missed his stop. The train continued on to Bothwell, where Thomas
got off. Thinking he could walk back to Thamesville along the rail in 3 hrs. time. After making his way Thomas, passed out & fell asleep & was found by another man, who woke him up
& sent him on his way again. Thomas passed out for the second time with his head resting against the rail when a train came along & decapitated him!!!!!!!!!!

Thomas Edward b. est 1877 was the son of Wm. H. Dodman & Jeanette McIntyre. Wm. H. is the son of Wm. Dodman b. est 1820 Snettisham, Norfolk. Son of Nicholas Dodman & Mary Pilgrim.

Yours Truly
