Help! I don't know what i'm doing!!

I am a complete novice at this, I am trying to research my mothers past she was adopted in 1943, I have her adoption certificate with both parents names, I also now have her original birth certificate. I have attempted to find both biological parent. I know her father was in one of two RAF squadrons and was killed in action but I don't know how to distinguish which man he was and as for her mother I am absolutely stumped! Could anyone offer some advice please. Many Thanks in advance.

hi melon welcome to the forum
if you want us to guide you through the process of finding some one put a post in the beginner section if you want use to find the info for you put a post in the general section included the information you have on your parents in the post
