We have Thomas Bowater on BCC here...

Death Certificate.
21st January 1916. 119, High Street, Florence Ettie Bowater, female, 17 months. Daughter of Thomas Bowater. Private 14944. C company 6th Battalion Kings Royal Rifle (Tube fittings maker?
A letter dated Aug 31st 191?
A letter received 30/8/16 informing of sad misfortune.
22/8/16. Wounded in action.
2/9/16. Died of wounds
