Hello all. I am still breathing....

...but if I was a horse it I would be getting a one way trip to the glue factory.
Getting back into the genealogy but have to start with a backlog of Aussie stuff first so off to the archives I go....
I might, depending on my health, be visiting the UK middle of next year.
Probably staying with Auntie in Oldbury and spending a lot of time in the Catholic Diocese archives and many weeks in the Shropshire archives.
I intend to write a book that parallels my wife's tree with mine and compares how the convicts and free settlers compared to those who remained in Ireland and the UK.
That gives me 9 generations to get as much info on as I can.
Once a convict arrived in Australia the paperwork on them was phenomenal but I want the stories that led to their conviction.
Since my wife has seven convicts in her direct line that is a bit of research in itself.
