Melting Moments

Just made some
hmmmmm not very good
10 oz Plain flour
5 oz marg
30z lard
6oz sugar
van essence cap
2-and half rolled oats
cream fat and sugar
add flour and oats
roll into balls
put on greased tray flatten slightly
bake 160 c fan 10 mins
or should I roll the balls in the oats
supposed to make 10 but I think they are too thick with 10
and another recipe with 1/2 qties says it makes 30
alternatives pls

right made some more
this time did 10oz Flour and 6 sugar and added an egg
did them for 15 mins
bit better not like concrete this time
helllloooooooooooo anyone got a good recipe pls

Not every one knows what melting moments are.Some people perhaps who do not have access to ITV would be wondering what they are.

I used to make these with nursery children.I used cornflakes to roll them in (the cakes, not the children!!), not oats.

Might work better with a couple of cups of oats rather than just 2 and half rolled oats they wont go far
