I have a querry on Enoch Ashmore born about 1869 Woodsetton parents Thomas and Mary Ann Ashmore, I thought Enoch married a Ruth Sherman 1889 Dudley v6c p199, but in the 1891 census the Enoch Ashmore there born Sedgley has mother Caroline 67 born Salop living with him.

Enoch Ashmore 24 born Sedgley
Ruth 26
Caroline Ashmore mother 67 born Salop
Mary Jane 4
Thomas 4m

I can't find another Enoch in Sedgley in that census.

Looks like it was his mother in law not mother on 1871 census she is Caroline Thurman with daughter Ruth.
