Could he have been in two places at once during census night?
Solomon Adams was a bricklayer on all the cencuses prior to 1901 and then he's a Coal Miner and the bricklayer Solomon Adams is in hospital.

whoever gave info to enumerator maybe just put down all those who usually are there
and Solomon happened to be in hospital at time
