Hi.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can anyone give me any information on a Jane Rickards who married Joseph Beard. Joseph was born in St. Martins, Worcester, c 1846 his occupation shows as shoemaker.

I have verified that Rickards is her maiden name but can't trace her birth. I've checked from 1845 - 1850 inc... her dob was c 1847. It may be that Rickards wasn't her maiden name & that she had been married to a Rickards prior to marrying Joseph.

Children of Joseph & Jane were Herbert Thomas (my grandfather); Clarinda Charlotte Jane; Joseph; Alfred G; Fanny; Edith & Allan, that I'm aware of.

I can't verify Jane's maiden name, or get any info on her ancestors.
They had 2 children, that I know of; Herbert Thomas, who was born 1872, and Clarinda (I think!), who was born c1876.

I wonder if she is a Jane..... I know she puts Jane on the 1881 and the 1871
but on the 1871 there is a Sidaway with them

and found this marriage

I would love to know why Thomas sidaway is living with the Beards
and how odd that a Joseph Beard married his mother!

and when did she die?
and did he then just merely live with a Jane?

the birth certifs of the kids will help
