I've just watched a documentary about 9-11.
I was at work when it happened. We were watching the tv with open mouths unable to take it all in.
Some idiots even have a conspiracy theory!! Saying the Americans did it themselves to discredit the Muslims!!
Mind you there are people who say the genocide of the Jews during WW2 never happened.

And the moon landings were fake and Princess Di was murdered and Elvis Presley is still alive etc etc etc.
I was watching the live broadcast as the buildings burnt on TV. Then the first collapsed and my daughters found me crying in front of the telly.
I worked on the 42nd floor of a building at the time and just rang to tell them I would not be coming in that day.
Apparently half the staff were like me and didn't turn up that day.
All we could think of was how those who were dying on live TV were no different than us.
Just normal people doing normal jobs.
You do get a sense of loyalty and friendship amongst your fellow workers.
As the day went on and the destruction of the buildings was repeated over and over I kept watching for some glimpse of humanity amongst the horror.
Good stories of human courage and dignity filtered through and by the end of the day I felt that, despite the horror I had just witnessed, we were a humane society and that the terrorists were the exception, not the norm.

I remember watching BBC World before I left for work, and thinking they were quick off the mark blaming terrorists, then the second plane hit and thourght "okay they are probably right".
I was at work when I heard the Pentagon was hit.
One of my collegues hadn't heard about it before she left for work, she thourght I was talking about a film or something!
I've seen the documentary that has been made - it brings back the shock of it all!

I was at home, early in morning in UK, called my mum to ask her something and she asked me if I had seen the news, I said no and she told me a plane had just hit a building in the USA, so I tuned in and the rest is history.

I was at work ,it was lunchtime .and the children had just left the class to go for their lunch , I was just about to turn the television off ,when a news flash came on . I couldn't believe my eyes as they were showing a plane hitting one of the twin towers .
