Anyone got any ideas as to why the marriage cert I have just got for my great Uncle's marriage would show three wits, 1 appears to be the Brides mother, 2 appears to be Brides Aunt and third appears not to be related to either person?

I dont think there is any reason I have some with few more on than that
not many on early ones but later ones 4 or 5 sometimes wits on certif.
