A few goodies!! Anyone interested?
I went into do my voluntary work today and was told there was something I might like to have or know what to do with, was told it was just about to be binned. Apparently an old chap brought in a load of stuff for genealogy and family research, thinking that some how the charity would benefit from it. So I took away a couple of carrier bags and just had a quick look through when I got home.
numerous Oxfordshire Family Historian Journals, 3 published in a year, have complete sets for 2002,2003,2004, 2010 and 2011 with just Vol 26 No1 st out the bag,for 2012 and an issue from 2001.
Oxfordshire Parish Registers and Bishops Transcripts 7th Edition 2006 by Colin Harris published by Oxfordshire Family History Society.
The Pink book for registers in Manchester archives and local studies. Manchester Central Library
Parish Registers for Clent, St Leonard. BMDB 1564-1837, Banns 1754-1813 and Bishops Transcripts 1621-1636, 1758-1782 published by Staffordshire Parish Registers Society 2004 ISBN 0-9500627-8-2
There are a number of other little booklets but I think I will keep those, they are one things such as heraldry, one booklet each on researching ancesters in Ireland, Yokshire and Lancashire and Latin for Family Historians.
Dozens of discs and software, have Family Tree Maker 2008, which I have bagged,
Generations Family Tree Ver 8 complete with 20 discs.
Brothers Keeper V6
Theres about 50 cds of mainly oxfordshire census and parish records, some of Northampton. I dont think I can offer these out as they are just copies of commercial discs.
SO is anyone interested in the books? A donation would be required which will go to Portchester Community Association, along with covering postage fees.

I will eventually throw them at the Hampshire Genealogical Society if no one else wants these, but chances are they will just sit and gather dust if I do. If someone has a lot of research and interest in these areas then I know they will get good use.
Just a little warning, they do carry a slight aroma of tobacco though its not that noticable until getting close up.
