Enoch Jnr stole a cock fowl and two ducks and was charged with larceny.

Enoch Snr, knowing they were stolen, accepted the birds from his son and was charged with larceny.

The birds were found on Enoch Snr's property and identified by the owner, Thomas Penman.

So they were technically guilty but after receiving many good character references the Jury decided to find them "Not Guilty".

Dorothy died on the 3rd June 1872 aged 76 at Cutnall Green (near Droitwich).

In 1847 Enoch Snr is renting a property at Cutnall Green so it doesn't seem they moved.

Dorothy is a Widow when she died.

I have come across a wedding for an Enoch Ashmore and Jemima Weaber/Webber on ancestry 1851 Wandsworth London

Enoch is of full age and his father is Enoch Ashmore labourer living at Garratts Lane
Jemma is 18 father Thomas also living at Garratts Lane

I was hopeful of finding more about Enoch but nothing, I don't know if it is the same Enoch jnr but it seems a coincidence with the father also named Enoch.

I have recently been given some information concerning Enoch which evidence points to the fact that he used an alias for several years living around the London area. So perhaps his aquital in 1848 wasn't the correct verdict and he embarked on a life of crime!!

The wedding in London is the correct Enoch Ashmore.
