I know from the 1911 censuses that both my great-grandfather and his brother raised families which included two still births in each family.

I have searched through the National Archives online but can't seem to find out if death certificates are issued in such cases?

Does anybody know please?

Found this David
Civil Registration of births, marriages and deaths started on 1 July 1837 in England and Wales. This was later expanded in 1927 to also include still births, and adoptions.
