Two of my Great-grandfathers, David Adams and George Eades were involved in the building of the chapel. Both are on BCC, and both are buried in the churchyard, along with many other members of my family.
By the way, to give it it's full title, it is Cave Adullam Strict and Particular Baptist Chapel.

Yes, I have photos of their graves. You notice there are no flowers on these graves. Apparently, the covenant governing the land prohibits flowers on them.

except for the one with the poppy reef on, what was it an old parishener, we will have no spendthrift way at this church :lol:

I don't know the reason. Just that it was covenanted. Of course, it's no longer a Baptist Chapel, so maybe it doesn't apply anymore.
But presumably a poppy wreath wouldn't count,as it would be put on as a tribute to a former soldier. I can't imagine anyone would object to that.

tink the covenate will stay no matter who owns it, as there a villiage up here with one on it not allowing alcohol to be sold so no pub or off licence
