Yeh! I just sowed some carrot seed
I am fond of the Square Foot Gardening method and the American official site for it has an annual Carrot Week. The idea is that everyone who wants to, sows a few carrot seed in the same week and then we can compare how they are doing, what the crop is and so on. To be honest it is never really warm enough here in mid-April (or the other hand it is probably too hot in Florida) but I like to give it a go.
I peeped at my garlic while I was out there, I've got about four different varieties and I am going to see which does best. They are look really good! It is so much fun gardening like this, once you have made the bed and filled it with the mixture (not soil) then each spring is a joy as all you have to do is poke around a bit with a trowel, add some compost/organic fertilizer and start putting in your seeds.

You can grow garlic in Iceland? I mean out of doors not in a greenhouse?
Is that why they call you gardner? You have green fingers? Wow!!

I am trying to grow garlic! I grew these bulbs last year and I hope to get some better ones this year.
It seems to grow fine if you plant the cloves in the autumn. I've got it covered with agricultural fleece now since it started to show green leaves and then the temperature sank down to -7°C.

Planted out two peonies and a little juniper tree yesterday in the rain - least they wont need watering in! I'm using our front hall as a green house too, I've got some annual climbers and lobelia on the go, just hoping they wont dry out too much while we're away for four days next week.

It's been so dry here the last month or so, everything's brown, it's just starting to green up again. Our flowering current is just about to spring out, and the birds definately think spring is on the way!

I've never planted young plants before, but you do have to be careful not to plant them deeper than they are in the pot. Years ago, when I knew very little about gardening (or as some might say, less than I know now!) I moved two peonies that were planted in concrete pipes - devil of a job to get them out so they were manhandled just a bit. I didn't know about the planting depth, but they did alright and flowered the same year.
I don't really expect these new ones to flower this year, but you never know....
