That was interesting Barb.The Swan Oldbury with Billy Spakemon.His ggrandfathers on BCC.The bit about the local accents was good as well.You don't hear it so much nowadays but every different part of the Black Country had there own accent.

Finely found the time to listen to this radio program , loved it. I was born ,and brought up in Handsworth ,but my mom came from Langley and my dad like me was born in Handsworth . His father was born in Dudley. All the family came from the Black Country ,always proud of it. Dad used to say that Handsworth was more in the Black Country than it ever was in Birmingham .He was not referring to the mileage ,more the people. :-)
