Hi,
I have Joseph Harris born 1836, his parents Joseph Harris (about 1812) and Caroline (about 1813).
Looking at the census records they are from Rowley Regis. I have looked through online information
but I cannot find anything. Can anyone help or point me in the right direction.

Many thanks.

Where have you found them on other census Records Ruthie ? Rowley Regis covers a big area. Are you looking for their marriage ? Lots of people from Rowley Regis actually married in St Thomas, Dudley, which is in Worcestershire, not Staffordshire. Also Clent, also in Worcestershire was at that time used as a Rowley Regis Church. There is a marriage for Joseph Harris and Caroline Harris on 11 Feb 1832, at St Leonards : Joseph Harris of the Parish of Rowley Regis, Bachelor and Caroline Harris of the Parish of Rowley Regis, Spinster.

They are living in Gorsty Hill in 1851, but I can't see the family in 1841

Maggie :-)

I have them on the census its the marriage of Joseph and Caroline I have been
trying to find, that will give me their parents and Caroline's maiden name.
Maybe I should look at Worcestershire not Staffordshire?
Also Joseph's birthplace seems to keep changing from Halesowen, Rowley Regis and Shropshire?

The marriage I posted earlier is probably their marriage Ruthie. Before registration in 1837, you will be very lucky to get the names of fathers on a marriage, sometimes they will appear as a witness. Caroline's maiden name is also Harris

Halesowen was in the county of Shropshire in 1841 for census purposes.

The marriage I posted earlier at St Leonards in Clent is probably their marriage Ruthie, it does say they were both from Rowley Regis. Before registration in 1837, you will be very lucky to get the names of fathers on a marriage, sometimes they will appear as a witness. Caroline's maiden name is also Harris
