We seem to have both (and at least two other) variants on BCC.

There is an Eliza ( and her parents) on under both variants - one 1837 and one 1838:

Not sure how to merge them! (would you use Rollason or Rol(l)inson for a start...

There are also Rollison/Rolinson variants on BCC - why are we using both Rollason and Rollinson on BCC they are all the same! Have you ever tried sorting the Rolinsons from the Robinsons in the Dudley Parish Registers .....that's even worse......

Using Rollason and Rollinson as they are stand alone surnames
but where they vary show the variant.

So eg
Eliza Rollinson may be down as Rollason and Rollinson on census or marriage or birth or other docs.
But her father Stephen may be down as Rollason on docs.
We can show how the name varies thru the generations keeping to just those 2 variants.

Not Rolinson or Rolason.

I think they are different enough to use the 2 surnames.

I like to try and use the surname they have at birth or sign themselves as long as it fits with the variant we have.
I will merge Eliza
