Hi Chris,

I'd assume you've probably seen the record of commemoration for Arthur Ernest EBELTHITE on the CWGC site?

Hi Chris,

I have access to the WW1 pension records if this helps, but I would need at least full name and year of birth.

Regards

Ron

Hi Chris,

I have checked the WW1 Pension records but they are not quite complete, unless his name has not been transcribed correctly.

I can tell you that despite the above he appears (if it is the same) to have a medal card details state as follows:

Description Medal card of Ebelthite, Arthur E
Corps Regiment: King's Royal Rifle Corps
No: A/201356
Rank: Private
Date 1914-1920
Catalogue reference WO 372/6
Dept Records created or inherited by the War Office, Armed Forces, Judge Advocate General, and related bodies
Series War Office: Service Medal and Award Rolls Index, First World War
Piece Denham W - Everitt H
Image contains 1 medal card of many for this collection

You can download this record at a cost of £3.50 in Pdf format at the National archives site using the following link:

http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/docu ... Id=2870625

There are actually six Ebelthite records for

Eric
Arthur E
Alfred G
Frederick WR
Oliver R and
Reginald

You can view these results at

http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/sear ... +awards+(6):C10019:&queryText=Ebelthite&searchtext=Ebelthite&queryType=ALL&ShowAllCategories=0

I will keep looking at the pension records as these usually give very interesting facts and will get back to you.

Very best regards

Ron
