Up until now, I haven't found any link between Richard born 1831 and the Cardo family on BCC.

Richard is the son of George Gordon Cardo and Jane nee Swain who were married at St. Martin's Church Birmingham:
22-04-1828 George Gorden Cardo bachelor of Dudley, Worcs. m. Jane Swain spinster otp. By Licence. Both signed name - he spelt his middle name Gauden. Wits: Elizabeth Swain & (G?) Swain.

Richard and his siblings were baptised at St. Thomas's Church, Dudley:

17-10-1830 Richard Green son of George Gordon & Jane Cardo, Dudley, Publican b. 13-09

Jane nee Swain died in 1836 shortly after the birth of her daughter who died in infancy. George Gordon died in 1860 and Thomas Swain died in 1867. They are all buried in the Cardo family vault at St. Mary's Church, Oldswinford:

Richard married Bridget Worwood at St. Giles's Church, Rowley Regis:

Richard & Bridget are buried at St. Peter & St. Paul's Church, Aston:

In 1841, Richard and Joseph were at school in Sedgley and Thomas lived with his father in Dudley. I have not been able to find George Swain in 1841.
