John Pargiter otp and Rhoda Shakespear otp
Banns
Witnesses,Ruth Pargiter, Thomas Horton
Is it possibly this one?
1841. Pensnett, Kinswinford
Rhoda Pargiter, 65
Edward, 15, Coal Miner
/George Dunn, 15, Coal Miner

That's the wrong one Jo. The Rhoda Pargiter that you have in the 1841 census was Rhoda Thom[p]son who married Richard Pargeter.
Re the Rhoda Shakespear that marries John Pargiter. This John dies in 1807.
This is my main line of research, so if anybody wants info on the Pargeter line take a look on the BCC site for the link to my web site on tribalpages.

Wasn't Rhoda the illegitimate daughter of an Elizabeth Shakespeare?

Should have added:
Thosw 3 marriages on 4th Dec are confusing -
Jane Plants mother Was a Thompson? (from memory)
The Pargiters tie the other 2 Shakespeare marriages together?
I am now confused by the John Shakespeare / Jane Plant marriage on same day. Was this a coincidence, or were they more closely related than I think, as the only real candidate for Johns parents is a bapt for a son of Benjamin Shakespeare/ Mary (Fellows). I think one of the 3 or 4 Benjamin's of this period married twice

Im going mad with them!
sp1 can you fill in where I have got to with the shakespears on BCC? I have added marriages to look ups.
