Where was his son James born 1849 in 1861? Dead?
If so who's the James Hadley in 1901 living with William Clift?

Why was he with William Clift on the night of the census of 1901.Did it mean he spent the night there or he was just visiting albeit for a cuppa?
Would this mean,if he was head of a family,he wouldn't be mentioned in any other household?

I have looked at the Chelsea Pensioners in case he was in the Army. Nothing.....
I will try the Merchant Navy and other "travelling" professions.

There is one a James Hadley married to a Jane living in Oldbury on 1911
with her in 1901 I think
son called Ephraim
found that interesting cos the name connects here
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =864699466Henry Hadley is the line down to Florence Hadley
Ephraim is a brother to Henry
tried to find the family of Wm and Sarah on 1851 but couldnt.
I just wondered if that was James down twice on 1901
and is he connected to Ephraim born 1836?

Where is Doddenham?
I have in my notes about Sarah that she possibly moved to Cradley and was born in Doddenham.
There is another Sarah married to a Martin Hadley and I think a lot of people get the two mixed up.
