Gardener's post about the hungry caterpillar made me think of all the children's books I have read or read to my kids.
I used to be an avid reader got put off a bit due to study and all the novels and plays we had to read

I loved the Enid Blyton ones
The Famous Five Books
-Five go genealogy hunting!
-Five find a missing rellie
-Five go reading inscriptions on graves

I loved reading my kids the not now bernard one!

Of course I have moved on now and tend to read.... Parish registers

but which was your favourite

Oh Rob! The Children of the New Forest! I loved it and used to read it over and over. I was a Royalist through and through. I had a book called The Land of Green Ginger that I cherished.
Used to love Enid Blyton books too, when I was little - The Wishing Chair and The Faraway Tree. And there was a book about an English family who went to live in the wilds of Canada. Oh, yes, and Ann of Green Gables ... now you've got me started!
