hi,
had forgotten I had left a space in my user name when joining the forum last year (lancashire lad) so have re-registered.

it is now clear that Alexander Hughes 1785 (BCC no and Alexander Hughes 1786 (BCC no 9) are the same ancestor.it would appear he was one of 11 siblings.

I believe his parents were Thomas Hughes b.1761 (BCC no 410) and Anne Pearson c 1761 kingswinford, married sedgley 16 jan 1781 but have not been able to fully confirm this,in order to go further back to 1620 with information I have received

Alexander 1785 married Mary Symkiss (Simpkiss) in 1806,there were apparently 7 children and Hannah Maria Griffin (nee Lester) in 1822 and there were 4 children.information can be given in another thread or added to this as required,together with marriage partners,dates etc.
