My gut feeling is that Joseph is the son of Hezekiah and Maria despite on Family Search the christening of Joseph Firkin ...23 Oct 1831 "“ All Saints, West Bromwich Joseph, son of Joseph and Sarah Firkin of Wittons Lane, Collier .......but Joseph and Sarah would be too old to have him...so who does he belong to? Hezekiah?
Interesting is that Maria Firkin remarried after the death of Hezekiah to Thomas Whitehouse and where were they living in 1851? Witton Lane !!

Could go on Rob ,but as you know its all on BCC in my small and very little opinion Hezekiah is Joseph's Father ,and Mercy Firkins is Joseph's Daughter by unknown Eliza.
My grt grandmother Mary Ann Steverton Darby Sister SARAH DARBY married ZEPHANIAH FiRKINS His father was ZEPHANIAH FIRKINS BROTHER to HEZEKIAH FIRKINS Who's son was Joseph married Eliza and had Mercy.
Mercy is 1st cousin 1x removed of the husband of my great grand Aunt Sarah Darby , and that's good enough for me.

You were going to get the birth certif of one of the kids of Joseph did you ever get it?
then we can get the marriage for Joseph and connect up if father is Hezekiah
we looked at this ages ago and you promised you would get certif

I've just searched the archives.We dealt with this 2 years ago.

I was moaning about having to spend another 9 quid for the wedding certificate.
Right archive this and next time i'm in England i'll sort it out.

Ok look Rob I have been doing some digging what is the street called on the 1841 next to Stone St
looks like Lodg bend? cant read it then Canal side after it
I think that is Eliza Roberts with father Thomas

but I cannot find a marriage for a Joseph Firkins and Eliza Roberts
can anyone
I think we can put her as Roberts but need that marriage can any clever person find it pls

Thought I'd just replied to this- but it must have gone somewhere else. Lodge Road is the next street to the bottom part of Stone Street - both running off Tat Bank Road. But it looks like Lodge Building on the 1841 Census. Can't see anything about it on the District Description
