I managed to trace my family back to 1783 now i am really stuck, i found my 6th great grandfather michael rose married a martha frost in sheffield he was born 1783 and they had a son michael born 1807 in sheffield. now i dont know where to turn or even if i do find something im on the right path. if anyone can give me a hint id be happy witht hat.

Where in Sheffield did they marry? And when?
Where was Michael baptised (assuming he was)?
I can see a baptism for a William who might belong to them, on the IGI

Sometimes if people stuck to one paticular church then it is possible to collect records together into family groups and sort out some pattern. Bit hard for the large parishes I must admit, and for common names.

Michael is unusual though so you might find another one generation back.

Any chance that they might have lefta will somewhere along the way? What was Michael snr's occupation and when did he die?

(Sorry, I'm better at questions than answers sometimes)

to be honest all i have is their names nothing else i guessed the years to see if that would help but im still stuck. i just know the family always lived in sheffield diffrent areas. ill eep checking see if anything comes up.

who were the witness at the marriage for micheal and martha?
what church was it?
what date ?
are there any other roses born or married in the same parish records around the same time ?
