I am looking for the mother of Richard Edwards born about 1821, Richard married Hannah/susannah Garbett on the 3 Dec 1836, 1841 census Richard & Hannan are at Tebbing, Tipton. 1851 census Hannah is a widow and living at Dudley Rd, West Bromwich, then 1861 Hannan is at 30 Henry Street West Bromwich and married to a Thomas Edwards.

I would like to try and find the Richards mother name his father was Thomas Edwards and they were both miners, Thomas Edwards Hannah 2nd husband was also a coal miner.

I would appreciate any help I can get with this Brickwall.

Hi Northan Lass & Everyone else who as posted help for Richard I appreciate it very much. :-)

That is the correct marriage for Richard and Susannah and that is where I got his father's name from I have the marriage certificate , and you have found a Richards Edwards baptism the date is a bit early , I am trying to find a death certificate for Richard , I have sent for 2 but they are the wrong ones, Richard must have died between 1841 & 1851 seeing Hannah is a widow on the 1851 census, he died young I was wondering if it was an accident in the mine :?: .

If this is Hannah/Ann who married Richard, then Richard probably died between 1848 and the time of the census (according to dob of Sarah). Looks like they were living in West Bromwich at the time of his death.

1851 Dudley Road, West Bromwich
Ann Edwards Head Widow 34 Charwoman b. Bristol
Benjamin Edwards Son 9 Scholar b. Staffs., Power/Princes End (?)
Richard Edwards Son 7 Scholar b. Staffs., Power End/Princes (?)
Daniel Edwards Son 5 Scholar b. Staffs., Power End/Princes (?)
Sarah Edwards Daur 2 b. Staffs., West Bromwich
Ann Edwards Daur 12 b. Staffs., Bensley Day
