Hi NL, you can use bleach in your water, needs buffing up though with newspaper or someone's old T-Shirt

I use Glass Cleaner the sort you purchase to clean your Car Windows with, non smear stuff, and one of Pete's old T-Shirts, can't beat old T-Shirts for dusting cleaning etc. HTH from Linell.

I have found to my detriment that washing up liquid is definately a no no, where double glazing is concerned!
We've just replaced a unit which had broken down & I wont be using it again

The best thing to clean windows? Me!!!
One of my uncles had a round on Lion Farm in the early 60's and i used to help him every saturday for pocket money so i reckon i'm quite an expert at it!!
Just warm water, a sponge and one of those wipers with a rubber band on the bottom!! Dunno the English name!!
Mind you they hadn't been invented in the 60's so we used a chamois leather zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
sorry i was boring myself to death!!

Use methylated spirits, NL. Works a treat and you get high at the same time.

Rite I am dead fed up!!
I cleaned my window at the back of the house
sprayed a load of spray on it and then got distracted cos I had to go and see the holes that the foxes had dug!
So when I came back wiped the windows and thought no more....until tonite!
when the condesation on the window showed up all the streaks!!
I have tried bleach,
vinegar
more spray
hot water and w.up liquid
more spray
screaming at it
The darn streaks won't go!!
how do I get rid of em!
not tried the meths yet
but can you just buy meths?
very nearly used my wine ....but sobered up just in time
Help!!!

Well if you cant see an answer in the Mitt try
1/2 liter white vinegar and 1/4 liter of water
1. Fill a clean spray bottle with pure vinegar
2. Spray the vinegar/water solution over the window and wait for a few minutes
3. If stains are stubborn spray more solution and wait a while longer
4. Scrub lightly with a soft sponge or cloth and rinse
Tip: - Try to deal with the water spots straight away as the solution works best with newly formed or mild hard water spots.
it's the bleach that has caused the problem not the vinegar!!!
I bleached my hair once!! So i know what i'm talking about thank you very much!!
