You occasionally see some stupidity from the Public Service (Is it called the Home Office in the UK?).

What is really shocking is the only reason he was born in India is his parents were doing their duty for England!!!

He would have got an Aussie citizenship because some jobs require it.

If he was born in the UK he would be entitled to dual citizenship.

Logically, being an Armed Services or Consulate birth, he assumed he was entitled to the same.

I hate the idiots who hide behind regulations and obscure paperwork.

Sounds like a "jobsworth" to me!
If they wanted to they could rectify the situation easily, let's hope that the publicity helps.
