Ive currently reached a dead end with regards to two of my ancestors
Firstly Thomas Barley born 1791 in Bromsgrove and his wife Jane Born 1785 and according to the 1851 cenus sh was born in Brewood
They ran a pub called The Vine in Catshill which either is no longer there or changed name?
But im more concerned with trying to track both people back further to their parents
I would say Thomas and Jane were married sometime before 1819
Any help would be appreciated

Hi
I only hav etime for a quick look but it seems to me that they had kids at Feckenham too at least Thomas in 1815 and Mary the following year. Feckenham marriages are not in the IGI so it could be worth checking in the parish records.
There is also a Sophia Barley (unmarried) having kids bpt at Feckenham. She seems to be the daughter of Arnell and Sophia Barley and they had a son John bpt at Rous Lench in 1809 (submitted record).
I think I would try and look at the Feckenham records and see if the marriage ws there, also check the baptisms to see if it has any other information. Then I think i would surf generally round the whole area and see what any Barleys were up to.

I've got the Bromsgrove registers at the FHC where I volunteer. I took one look at them but couldn't find any Barleys in the right time period. I'll double check tomorrow as I was also helping 'customers'
Have you checked the Catshill registers? He may have been born between the two but baptised in Catshill. They are close enough that that would be possible
