Hello Ive just joined and thought I'd introduce myself, My names Dave and Im hoping to try and find my moms birth mothers side of the family, as she was adopted at birth in 1946.
The family story goes that my moms birth mother was a traveller and her birth father was in the raf thus being the reason she was adopted as travellers do not have babies out of wedlock but not of this is certain just family stories and I'd like to find out. I have my moms birth certificate with her mothers name of but cannot seem to find anything out about her on any of the free sites and I havent registered with any pay sites as I'm not sure which ones are the best and which package id need.
Any suggestions to help me along the way would be greatly appreciated
