welcome to my brick wall, which i have been behind since forever.

I am looking for baptism records for JAMES GADSON MEACHAM & LETITIA BUTLER born circa 1785

I have their marriage record in 1805, st leonards church, shoreditch, they were bachelor and spinster both of the parish and both signed in their own hand, as did the witnesses WILLIAM BUTLER & THOMAS MECHAM - could they be fathers, i have searched endlessly for records with these as fathers and possible brother links, but nothing - any ideas welcome.

these are all the children of james and letitia

i.e thomas has the middle name gasdon, and is followed by his 1st son also having it, the 1st son of the 1st son carries the middle name.

i have tried this route but got so lost trying to tie in the mecham name, i have all the children of james and letitia, and the 1st son of the 1st son right up to early 1900 carries the gadson as a middle name.
i have spent years trying to find them both.

Could it possibly be that that couple Henry Gadson and Elizabeth.....Henry dies and Elizabeth remarries a Meacham
and so her son becomes James Gadson Meacham
he appears to be the last one bapt in 1781

I'm going round the mulberry bush again, all day searching and nothing cant even trace the rest of the family gadson.

so disheartened now.
