hi everyone, ive come to his site because its the besttsite online , i have recently made contact with a family member and i need some proof that we are related ,id like to send a copy of proof of marriage whih is john william hairyes born 1895 died 1948 to beatrice eileen bowes 1917/1978, the wedding took place in 1946 in holbeck in leeds, can any memebrs of ancestry please send me proof of this marriage to my email which is *Edit* so as i can prove that me and my relative that we are reltaed, kind regards zoe

zoe can you remove you email ( or a section mod remove it) please and ask members to PM you the info as we use internet bots on the site and your email will be all over the internet leaving you open for all sort of nasty emails spam etc

Hi Zoe, Im sorry but I have deleted your email address.
People can contact you via PM and you can send your own email address to them on there.
If they send you anyinformation you can copy and paste what you have been given and save it.

As Linell has just said Im affriad you will have to buy them certificates yourself from the GRO.
There is no more information that is available without buying the certificate yourself.
On that you will find parents names along with address and occupations, also names of witnesses to the marriage that are often useful to note.

hi thanks everyone and apoligies , i wasnt aware that posting ones own email adress was an offence, but im very new to this and certainly not good with computers ! here it goes im not after the cetifactes them selves i allready own most for my research ,however what i would like is some kind of proof of marriage if you like? can anyone pm me like the first thread and the marraige of beatriece 2nd husband william mckenna ? so i can send it to my family,apoligies its probabley my fault i shouldve worded better ,please help kind regadrs zoe
