You were out late then Pete.
Lovely pictures, you have captured the ambience very well.
San/Maggie do you remember the old Gas Light Club down there
Real cool place of our youth.
Lin.

Is that what they call it up North!!
Wasn't Gas Street basin a bit derelict in the 60's? San ?
I remeber the Opposite Lock that was in the vicinity wasn't it but The Galight Club? My favourite place was The Locarno with the revolving stage or of course The Tower.
We'd meet at The 'Chicks and after a few drinks we'd go either to The Locarno or West End.
During the week we'd pop up to The Dolls House!!

That was it Rob - the Opposite Lock. Remember seeing loads of famous groups at the Locarno and The Tower, one "never to be forgotton" night ending up in the reservoir. Everyone used to meet at the Chicks, before getting the 126 into town.

I asked San for a dance once at the Tower and she told me to get lost!! Brummie girls were cool especially those from Yardley!!
