The search for his family has thrown up various connections, this is him in 1841:-

Cakemore Halesowen
Tycho Gaunt 25 Nailer (Bap 31.10.1813 H/O to Benjamin and Jane Gaunt Warley Wigorn Burnisher)
Eliza 25
Jane 2 months
Felix Detheridge 6
Charles Detheridge 4

Next Door is John Detheridge, see here from BCC
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/fa ... dge-Family

1851 Spring Hill Hasbury Halesowen
Tycho Gaunt HD W 37 Nailer born Ridgacre
Jane DA 10 Cakemore
Emma DA 8 Cakemore
Ann DA 7 Cakemore
Harriet DA 4 Halesowen
Felix Detheridge SL U 15 Nailer Cakemore
George Turner LG U 18 Nailer Lapal
John Parsons LG U 22 Nailer Hasbury

How does Felix connect to John Detheridge :?:

Tycho Gaunt Married Eliza Detheridge or Sewell 5.3.1840 St Thomas (I presume Felix is her son)
Tycho then Married Caroline Deeley 5.6.1854 St Thomas Dudley

Will add these Marriages for look ups.

If anyone can throw any light on this would be most grateful cheers from Linell.

Linell,
I suspect I have a connection to the Coley-Smiths: have you come across a Harry Coley-Smith - he married my grandfathers cousin, Gwen Pearson. I don't have an exact date but presume he would have been born around 1910 give or take a few years, probably in the Halesowen area.

That's them Jimmy!
Thanks.

Have had no luck finding Harry in the birth indexes, although there is a possible regitered at Kings Norton in 1910 (Harry C Smith).
Likewise can't see him in the 1911 census.
