That girl that went to be a Maid, that was exactly like my life at the moment, only difference is, I do have my own bedroom. I thought this house was lovely, when my daughter bought it, that was before I had to move in to look after her, after her fall. I am up and down the dog-leg stairs to the basement about 50 times a day. I suppose I must be getting fit. Plastered a wall yesterday too.

I had to turn it off, so clichéd, bring on some real history, did you watch the 'Mediaeval History' Series on BBC 4, that was so interesting :?:

Me and the tin lids have loved the first two episodes.

We especially love the Sloan Rangers having to work as domestics.

It is too short per episode for people to get a real sense of the era but still a very interesting series.

The kids were shocked to find out Grandma and Grandad and 4 kids were living in a two bedroom house with shared dunny and bathroom in 1962.

Hence our move to Oz.

House? You were lucky to have a House! We used to live in one room, all hundred and twenty-six of us, no furniture. Half the floor was missing; we were all huddled together in one corner for fear of falling!

But you try and tell the young people today that... and they won't believe ya'.
