I can't find anything for Richard Willitts on any census, I have his daughters wedding cert
Elizabeth Willitts 46 spinster residence Shavers End father Richard Willitts tailor
Henry Guest 37 bachelor farmer residence Cinderbank father Henry Guest labourer
His name on the certificate is all I can find, any ideas

we have a birth certif for Mary emma guest mother Elizabeth Willetts

so takes mothers name Elizabeth Leppard

Thank you for your replies, I haven't been able to sort out any more on the Leopard/Leppad/Guest saga, so I thought try working forward from her father Richard, I have read through all the 1841 census for Dudley and Sedgley on Ancestry without finding a single Leopard or Richard Willitts. The connection with the Jukes family as far as my father knows they have always been friends.
Perhaps this needs to go on the backburner for a year or 2.

Hi Nessa, I have the 1851 Census for the whole of Worcs on disc, no Leppards or Leopards on there either, wonder where Elizabeth got that name from

She must have changed her name for some reason, but as to why she chose Leopard

Suppose we will never know. I'll have a look on the local Archives Web Sites see if anything comes up there.

Do you think maybe she is Elizabeth Willetts and maybe Leopard is her birth name
