old family search site

well looks like the finally killed of the old site, the new site might have more info but a big step backwards in my opinion on the way you can search it even on the 1881 census you cannot go up and down the street looking for reli next door, the sibling search is more scatter, all in all more is not always better
just been looking at reviews for the new site its been getting a pasting for 1 week period 282 comments carnt see a good one

I agree Pete, the old site was much more user friendly, oh well good time to put FS to bed I think.

I don't mind the new one too much, I didn't really search the old one - tended to use the parish records though.
At least then it was easy to see if an entry was transcribed or submitted.

The new one is almost unusable - or at least not as easily searched. Why, oh why, didn't they leave the old one as an alternative? (yes I know it's probably due to server space - but I bet they have a lot of that!

Completely agree with you sp1
like one of the comments said if it aint broke why fix it.
Hope they put the link back on lots of comments requesting its return

well they asked me to comment on new site told them it was a load of rubbish and should of spent the money improving the old one

couldnt agree more new site is rubbish weve lost the family option and the lineage option wont be using it again gonna get anc instead

This one tells you if it's Indexed or contributed.
https://familysearch.org/search/collection/igiI haven't found the new one that much different. Been using this one for a while. I don't think there will be a better alternative really for pre 1837
