Hi all,
I am looking to trace any living Kendalls' / Researchers who's ancestors stemmed from the Black Country areas of Dudley Wood, Dudley, Cradley Heath, Brierley Hill, Pensnett etc. You will know straight away, as alot of the Kendalls' were Chain Makers.
I am also interested in the surnames of Haden, Weston, Wells, Chater and Grainger, as they have strong links with the family throughout the past 200 years.
I am a direct Descendent (Great Grandson) of George Kendall B abt 1883 - D1928, who had the following brothers and sisters:-
William Kendall
Mary "
Amy"
Annie "
Phillis "
John "
Richard "
His father was also George Kendall B 1853 D 1903 and his Mother was Amy Kendall (Nee Grainger). B abt 1852 D 1923
I would love to share the few photos and family stories, and to learn about the missing branches from the 1920's to present day.

Oscar, what family member is the link between us then? Do you have any photos of your great grand mother or any other pics that maybe of interest?

William Kendall born abt 1850 in Cradley married Florence Willetts in July 1875. Florence was my grandfather's auntie who adopted him when his own parents died in 1901.
They had a daughter named Sarah Annie Kendall born in 1876 who married James John Griffiths who was born in Llandovery, Wales in 1872, My mam knew this couple as Auntie Annie and Uncle Jim and they lived by the council offices on Barrs Road, Haden Hill.
Their son was William George Kendall Griffiths (who we have mentioned on here before). George Griffiths became an alderman and was Mayor of Dudley in 1964. He married Sylvia Masie Pearson born (1911 Wolverhampton) and as far as I'm aware, they had no children.
