Need a double check on a marriage in 1809

I was looking for some information re a marriage between Joseph Evans and Mary Miller on the foret-of-dean.net site, and got this information

A possible marriage

Joseph Evans & Mary Miller, both of full age, married at Gloucester St Michael on 6th September 1809. They were both residing in Gloucester, the marriage was by banns, and the witnesses were Elizabeth Blossom and George [illegible]

It says the names of witnesses were not clear - I suspect Blossom is wrong (Bloxsom or some variant seems more likely)

but my daughter reminded me of an email from 2005 which was on my old computer, from the Gls Family history Society which says:
Joseph Evans and Mary Miller both of this parish
of St. Michaels in Gloucester were married by banns
in the parish church on 10th September 1809
Signed Joseph Evans Mary Miller
In the presence of Elizabeth Bassom George Evans

Is someone able to read it again for me and tell me which one is correct.
Also, if I have the following information of a will for the said above Mary Miller (now Mary Evans) about her mother, also Mary Miller

The will of Mary Miller, widow, of Mitcheldean in May 1811. If this is Mary's mother the will might just be late enough to mention her as Mary Evans (bearing in mind this is the probate date). I don't know where to search for the Will though. Details of Will are Catalog Wills 1801-1858, Parish, Mitcheldean, ref 181/86 Year 1811

Can anyone help please?

Judy

Hi Judy, you would be better off joining this list, as people on there will access to Gloucestershire records:-

For Wills try the National Archives Site.

Whan there are conflicting dates, it is often the Banns date that is misquoted as being the actual wedding date.
