Need some census but I think he is a Jeconiah or whatever his name is and changes to John?

on 1841 there is a Jechonia someone has amended to Zachariah.

Does Daniel Die and Mary marry a John Payne?

Joseph appears on the 1841 census with Mary Payne and living a few doors away with the Mason family is Mary Ann Mills who I think is the same person who marrys John C HERRING.

This entry causes problems with the marriage entry of Mary & John Payne 1828

This is a different age though born 1834 but Joseph on 1841 is aged 14 :?

If that is "our" Daniel and Mary then they are born as you say after marriage to John Payne in 1828

something odd with this lot.

I think that is our Zachariah with mother Mary who marries a John Payne

we could do with a death for DAniel.

and that mariage at St Thomas looked at as you say for her status.

Yes some very good points made and maybe William & Joseph Mills living with Mary on the 1841 census are related but not her sons ? ?

This is interesting given Mary's maiden name was Bott:

need to recheck those marriages

but I dont think that is her on 1851

I think it is her on 1841 with dau living near (mary Mills)

but 1851 :?

those bapts for Joseph and Hannah are after the 1828 marriage to John payne.

The fact that that John/Zachoriah whatever his name is is with family on 1841 looks good for being
Mary that marries Daniel

any ideas?

Eliza dau of Mary Mills Tipton "illegitimate"

so is that the Eliza aged 5 on 1841
is her mother Mary Mills dau b 1822?...bit young???

Q is that the couple on the 1851 his age is way out and where is he on 1841 not on 1841 with Mary wife.
