How to post in this section.

Can you please just post your request on a new thread and if someone has it or can do it
they will get back to you with it using the same thread.
If you can help please post on the same thread.

We now Have 2 sections
Dudley Archives
Smethwick Archives

If you know which one your look up is for great just add to list in that section.
If not just pop a post on and we will move to the correct one.

Start a new thread for each look up please. Obviously if you have a few from the same church just add them in the same post.

Just put if it is a Marriage or Bapt or Burial in the heading day month and year and church and of course names.
In your post Please include name, year month and day and the Church as they need to go straight to the information.
(if looking on wmbsgh site for a marriage then the last number is ok as that is the page entry in the register)

Let's see how it works.

Some people may Sometimes go to Dudley and Sandwell/Smethwick Archives
and may be happy, (if they have time), to do look ups for members.....or they may have access to info to help you.

Should you no longer require a look up please let us know so that no one wastes their time.
nb to err is only human so for verification you may be advised to check supplied information yourself

Should you wish info sooner (as do remember it is only if people are going and then if they have time/are able/wish to do it!)
then I would suggest you contact Dudley/Smethwick Archives Direct or send for info from whoever has it.

When a post in this section has been looked up, and you have seen the reply, can you please put *COMPLETED* in the title, so that it can be archived.

Do not give more info ie census etc as this is purely for the look up and nothing else.
Start a new thread in the appropriate section if you wish to give the poster more info or pm them.
