I would like to take up Mike 74's offer of looking in the National Archives but the PM feature on this website doesn't let me do this.
Does anybody know how I can contact Mike?

go to the members list top right and pm him

Time allowing and committments...willing to go to the National Archives at Kew and the LDS Family History Center in South Kensington
Please give detailed info to help look up.
however it will only be when he goes and has time etc
he may not be doing it anymore though that post is quite old
