My topic for help with are, 2 children of Nicholas Dodman & Mary Pilgrim. Nicholas & Mary were married in the Parish of Fring. On the 30th Nov 1815. Snettisham, Norfolk, Eng. Avis was born 1st. 06 Jan 1828, Snettisham, Norfolk, any information on Avis, would be deeply appreciated.
Thomas Nicholas Dodman was born in 1832 ( the yr. his father, Nicholas dies, 1832 ). Snettisham, Norfolk. I have found this person on the Utah Mormon Site. At age 49 in an 1861, Norfolk,
census. I have found Thomas Nicholas. Living in Little Fakenham married to an Isabella, & working on the Lings End Farm, as a shepherd. Can any confirmation be made, as to this Thomas Nicholas being a son. Can any information be possible?

If you search Free BMD here:-
http://www.freebmd.org.uk For the Marriage of Thomas Dodman and Isabella you can order their Marriage Certificate which will give you their father's names, or trace them on the Census and see who they are living with over the years, often parents lived with their children as they got older, especially in those small rural communities. Have you looked through the Census Pages are there any Dodmans living near Thomas
HTH Linell.

Eh Linell I will check out this web site & try & do what I can. Freebmd.org.uk, thank you very much, for this information.
Eh Mark; Avis is not the only memeber to come to Canada. Mary ( Pilgrim ) Dodman, re-marries a John Hipkins. In Snettisham, Parish Fring, in 1834. John & Mary immigrate into Canada, along
with 4 of her children, with Nicholas Dodman. Mary's oldest son David, William, John &, daughter Elizabeth, whom is very young at the time. I believe Mark, they could have departed from Eng. Shortly after 1834 - 1842 (est. ). We have them here In an 1851 On Census, in Brant County, Blenheim District. Mark Avis is a newly found member to this family whom we did not know even existed. Any possible information on her Mark, would be fantastic.

Eh Mark; after reading your last post on Avis stating, that you thought she came to Canada. I started searching once again, this is what I have come up with. Avis Marguerite Dodman, entered New York, U.S.according to Original Selected U.S. Naturalization Records 1790 - 1974. There are variations on the spelling of her name, Mark. Avril & Evis, can you explain? Thank You Very Much For The Lead, Mark!!!!!!!!!
On Canada Marriages 1801 - 1928, has her married to a Mark Robinson. In Hamilton On Canada, with a daughter Ann Maria Robinson, b. 1848 ( est. ) &, d. 03 Dec 1933, Hamilton On.
Hamilton On is not far from Brant County, Blenheim District, where I picked up this families trail
I am still looking for information on Thomas Nicholas Dodman, Mark. I have had no luck here with him.
