near them are Andrew Homer wife selina and kids including a Martha Homer dau


why is his wife ann down as a Homer?

can anyon see pls

also what is name is it Ruston or Russon
I can't see them on other census

I have Richard with father and mother on 1851
and then with wid mother on 1861

if that Richard on 1861 with Samuel Busson is a Richard Homer ...and I cant see why
then is it the one I have?

It might be indexed as Busson on Ancestry - but it definitely looks like Bristow to me

When Ancestry had all these census booked indexed, they sent them out to places where they could get more for their shillings. Some of them, I do know, went to India - so people weren't that good with English names and indexed what they saw. So whatever they are indexed as sometimes has to be taken with a pinch of Salt and you have to "say what you see".

I would definitely go with Bristow.

You probably need to add an alteration/amendment and tell Ancestry of the transcription error - they do put them right - I must have sent hundreds. I have even seen situations where the head of the family is at the bottom of one page and the rest of the family on another. Ancestry have got these pages in the wrong order and have indexed a wife and children with the wrong father.
