I have been stuck at this brick wall for some time now. Samuel Rogers was born in 1888 on the 1911 Wales Census he is listed as being born in Greatbridge but is living in Newport, Wales with his wife (Margaret Ann Cox), child and her Parents and sibilings. The only Greatbridge I know of is near West Bromwich and thats all a google search turned up. I have his marriage certifcate and they were married on the 28th March 1910 at the Parish Church of Maindee in Newport, his father is listed as Joseph Rogers (Deceased).

I have been searching for leads with this for over 6 months and have still found nothing at all.

Thankyou for all your help so far. As soon as I get home from work I will post a transcript of the marriage cert. Off the top of my head all I can remember is that one of the witnesses was a William Little.

Think we're onto a winner here with the Wednesbury links above the jobs for Joseph and Martha are Puddler and Puddlers Wife which I belive is a job inside an Iron Works.

Can't thank you all enough for all your all help with this. I'm going to have a look to see if I can find a birth record for Samuel Rogers now looking to get his Birth Certifcate to confirm some details
