Perhaps Charles Skidmore 1851-1904 (who married Maria Westwood b. 1854 Commonside at Kinsgwinford 25 Dec 1876) could be the son of Benjamin 1819-1889 and Elizabeth Skidmore c. 1819-1898?

So that could be the connection then
Richmond Plant and Robert Plant are bros
do you have time to add in Robert and his line?
and do you think then that that is the Marriage for Roberts son Johns marriage?

Will do, Jan. Unless I've got it wrong, Benjamin Plant b. abt. 1814 son of Richmond 1793-1828 married an Eliza Hussey, perhaps sister of Joseph Hussey?, and Benjamin's son Richmond 1840-1914 moved to Stockton-on-Tees and had 7 children by his wife Mary Orr. More later.

ie it isnt Hannah Clay nee Robinson but Mary Southall
http://bcconnections.tribalpages.com/tr ... =419465682surely he would be more likely to have his neice as a witness
this one

John Plant of full age bach nailer Dudley John Plant nailer
Hannah Clay of full age Widow Dudley James Robinson nailer
banns
X both
Wit- Elizabeth Hyde X Thomas James
we could do with census can anyone post the 1861 and 1871 pls ....I will split it off I think later
but that name Hyde I am sure we have mentioned with the plants
So is that the Marriage for John Plant bro to Bessy Plant at top of this thread

Many thanks, Jan and San. As you'll have seen, I spent an hour or three this afternoon adding as many Plants as I could to BCC in this line

They were an extraordinarily fecund lot, the Plants, in most cases I've just indicated that there was a marriage and a child and will try to fill in the other children as and when. I think you've nailed this one, Jan, I'll add what I can to BCC.

Thanks Dennis and San
I have added census for Sarah
and some more notes on John
and that marriage in notes as a possible
if you think it is his marriage pls add it in
ie add Mary Southall.
AndDennis pls add whatever else you think on this or have the time to do.
I will now flag this for moving to archived section if we are done with it
