The article in the bugle says that Phoebes maiden name is Brain but there seems to be this marriage that Mally found

Just mopping up the details on the Grove bible.....

was she a widow on marriage

1841 census
Blackheath
William Grove nailer m 25 y
Phoebe Grove 25 y
Maria Grove 8 y
Anna Grove 4 y
Samuel Grove 12mths

assuming she is 29 on the census she is only going to be 21 when having Maria

anyone see this lot on the 1851?

I would have thought the first one was the correct one....but suppose it could be either

can we find em on Census to give a clue

and if no luck I can look up both and see if clues in witnesses

Can we also go back on this line ie find parents of this William Grove?

Ok a result it is Jones not Brain.

I have found the Pheobe Brain one with hubby William in 1851 living Tipton staffs
he is born Glouces in abt 1808
she is born abt 1816 staffs harbourne
with them is a Sarah brain niece
and Phoebe brain mother in law....

and still in Tipton in 1861 so totally different family than we are after.

so Jones is going on connections! not Brain!!

moving back on this with William b 1813 wonder who his parents are
I will add that marriage to Phoebe jones if not already on.

Cant see an obvious bapt for this William can anyone else?

I will look up the marriage see if witnesses help.
