In January Jan pointed out I had completetly stuffed up this George Cutler and his family...

So its time to tackle it and get it right.

Can we please have the details of the Mary Tarr/George Cutler marriage.

Mary and George are determined to ahve a son called Enoch. They had one in 1849 who can be seen in the 1851 census.

He died later in 1851 and they had another son in 1854 they also called Enoch.

He can be seen in the 1861 census.

With the fixation with the name Enoch I assume this is Mary Tarr's family.....

I hate this family.....

Several people have the daughter, Hannah Cutler, marrying a James Hadley and then a John Stokes.

This is supposed to be Hannah in 1871.

So who is the Enoch Hadley? Is is Hannah's much younger 1/2 brother from her father's second marriage?

I can't find a sutiable Hadley/Cutler marriage but this is the Stokes/Hadley marraige in 1878.

list is huge so may not get done.

I have added her poss family in her notes until father is proved but does look like could be

If Hannah took up the raising of her younger Half Brother then he could easily appear as stepson on the census. If you can find another suitable Enoch Cutler birth in 1850-1860 then I might think otherwise.

I misread the notes on the BCC tree. I though Jan had details of the marriage but apparently it is Enoch's birth certificate?

Looks like it is not worth pursuing any further if a marriage lookup can't be done for a long time.

I can't afford certificates at the moment so you might as well archive.

Could it be that he is actually Hannahs son?
